Paul has been a licensed professional counselor since 2012 and has over 15 years of experience working in mental health treatment centers. Paul works with a variety of counseling issues that include: trauma, depression, anxiety, addictions, grief, and identity development. In many cases, Paul provides an experiential counseling experience that includes expressive arts and music therapies. Additionally, Paul provides counseling services within a Christian context.
Paul has extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-focused therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Paul provides these services for those dealing with suicidal ideations and traumatic experiences throughout the lifespan, including abuse, attachment issues, and other life-altering events.
Paul's passion to reach the hurting led him to establish a non-profit organization called A Hope and A Future (AHAF). AHAF helps individuals and families respond to adverse life experiences and neurodevelopmental challenges more effectively by providing the counseling and skills training needed to build a life worth living.
